Plants and Flowers Any botanical subject is interesting to me if I am drawn to its shape, color or pattern. A subject 'speaks' to me and I will consider it for a while before deciding to study and paint it. As well as the more obvious subjects like flowers, I love pods and the shapes they have dried into, as well as the tiny complex systems they hold in the form of seeds. Below are a number of paintings and drawings of a range of botanical subjects.
